Members of the Algerian team and management will be travelling to Morocco on July 20th. The week long stay will be used as preparation for the African Nations cup, and a chance to build closer ties with the Moroccan ice hockey association who have recently become members of the IIHF. Supporters are welcome to come and meet the team and watch them train and play.
A small rink has been constructed in the city of Tizi Ouzou. A member of AAIIH staff, Anissa Dahmani, met with the owners who were keen to work with the AAIIH to create a hockey club with adult and junior teams. Look out for more news in the coming months regarding the creation of this club.

Karim Kerbouche played 8 games for Lee Valley Lions in ENIHL Div 2 getting 1 assist and 25 penalty minutes.
Jumana Abdulwahid is a 12 year old Algerian girl who players for Streatham Blizzards in the UK, along with sister Asma, we hope these two are the start of a future Algerian female national team.

Algerian forward Karim Kerbouche signs for Lee Valley Lions making him the 2nd Algerian player in the English National League along with goalie Khalid Abdulwahid.
We would also like to publicly deny Kerbouche is dating Amelle Berrabah of the Sugababes, as has been recently reported by UK press. We will not answer any queries regarding this matter.
With the new year around the corner, we are pleased to present our new logo, designed by Chakib Lounes, it incorporates the red crescent moon and star.
Last weekend management had a meeting in Paris, the conclusion was for 2010 we’ll mainly be concentrating on finding sponsorship, increased government support, a training camp in Paris, the African Nations cup and starting an inline hockey project inside Algeria.
In other news 16 year old Algerian goalie Khalid Abdulwahid made his debut for Streatham Redskins in the English National League.
